Welcome to the web site of the Buttonville Flying Club, the largest COPA flight in North America.
We are physically and officially located in the northwest corner of Hangar 15 at Buttonville Airport, which is accesssible from the north airport entrance at 833-16th Avenue, Markham, Ontario, Canada.
Some operational meetings also occur in the lounge in front of Druxy's in the Buttonville Airport Terminal.

Presentation from our feb 10th meeting about our august 2009 flyout to Haida Gwaii.

Here is the presentation from our Feb 10th 2010 meeting. In August 2009 six planes from the Buttonville Flying Club made a 5000 nm odyssey out to Haida Gwaii (the Queen Charlotte islands) and back.  The presentation was given by Paul Clark, Gerry McMunn, Lind Nyman and yours truly.   Prepare to be amazed!

Everyone is invited to join us on On Wednesday March 10th at the BFC club house for our monthly meeting.  Our Guest speaker is  Michael von Kaitz from the WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT team responsible for keeping Buttonvilles runways wildlife free! Micheal has conduct wildlife training and awareness at many sites across the country and will share some of the stories and process's behind the Wildlife Management initiatives at CYKZ over the past 8 years.  Working closely with Dave Dayment and his crew Michael is implementing control techniques compliant to the CARs with respect to wildlife management and airport safety both on and off the airport property ( including the hangers).  Here's your chance to find out what t

Fly-ins and outs coming up

Summer is fast approaching! (OK, so this is hopeful thinking...) I would like to get feedback on your interest in the following Fly-in possibilities, plus any others that interest you:
IFR Flyout for VFR Pilots:
BFC has possibly the highest concentration of private IFR pilots anywhere in Canada, but many of our members have never experienced a flight in "The System". This flyout would feature IFR pilots hosting VFR pilot-passengers on an IFR flight to somewhere with an ILS and food. Even members of Billy Lowe's "No IFR" club can come. See what all the fuss is about. Summer date to be decided. Lets hope for some cloudy weather!

SUN 'n FUN CAMPUS, LAKELAND, FL. – (Wednesday March 3, 2010.)FAA Administrator Randy Babbitt will participate in the 36th annual SUN 'n FUN International Fly-In & Expo, which will be held April 13-18 at Lakeland Linder Regional Airport in Lakeland, Fla. Babbitt will participate in several activities during his stay, including the popular “Meet the FAA” session on Friday, April 16, at 1 p.m. in the FAA National Resource Center and Production Studios located and operating year-round in the heart of the SUN 'n FUN campus.
